The Jello Volkssturm is the "Home Guard" of our people. There is a mandatory 3-year service period for every male at age 18 not selected for the regular Armies or navy. The Volkssturm's duty during times of war is not to go to the front lines and fight, but to remain on home soil and defend against any attacks on Alliance lands. Volkssturm units are associated with a specific type of armed service, for example, there are Wehrmacht Volkssturm units, Kriegsmarine Volkssturm units and SS Volkssturm units, as designated on their armbands.

During times of crisis, all males ages 18 to 55 will be required to serve in the Volkssturm should they not be selected as part of the regular military or, in the case of men over 35, choose not to serve in the regular military units.

In peacetime, the Volkssturm performs community service such as building new roads or working on Alliance-run farms, growing food for our people. This community work helps to build on the foundations the JelloJugend built, further instilling the values of the Alliance, building good, strong, healthy citizens with a fortified sense of community.

The Volkssturm have uniforms similar to the regular military; however, these are not always worn when rallying members rapidly, as you can see from this picture.

As you can see, there is some military bearing expected in the Volkssturm. This instills respect of superiors and personal discipline in each and every member. These members of the Volkssturm and other services are the builders of our countries, the protectors of our lands, and command a great deal of respect in return for the great deal of work they put forth.

This armband designates a Volkssturm member. All Volkssturm members wear the same armbands, no matter which country of the Alliance they originate from. Whenever you see one, give a smile and a hello! These young men are helping better our nations!
